Context
Grupac is an agribusiness and animal-health group with more than 30 years in the market and nationwide coverage: 17 branches and 18 distribution centers. Its new site has to convey that scale and the backing of global brands, and give its sales force a clear channel for quotes. The visual proposal — business pillars, partner brands, coverage and portfolio — is by Conqr's design team; my part is the technical base it is built on.
What I did
Grupac's logo only existed as a vector, and WordPress blocks SVG uploads by default. I wrote a mu-plugin that enables the image/svg+xml MIME type in the media library. As a must-use plugin it always loads and can't be switched off by accident from the admin, so the logo doesn't break when plugins change.
The site is built in an isolated staging environment with PHP 8.2 and Let's Encrypt SSL, kept apart from production until launch, with scheduled UpdraftPlus backups.
